Power is back on!

So here are some photos from Monday and Tuesday.  A lot of the photos I took from the train are not very good because they were shot through the window.  But this will give you a feel for our scenery.  It's hard to capture the vastness of hiking on the Vidden; this is just a glimpse of the type of terrain we were walking through.  We are having a fabulous adventure.

Norwegian countryside, outside Oslo.

One of the stops along the Bergen train.

The Bergen train winding through the countryside.
Coming down out of the snowy plateau to Bergen.

Warren and Tonnes walking along the Bergen Bryggen (wharf).
Warren has an orange shirt on and Tonnes is  in a gray jacket.

At the top of the tram-car station on Mr. Ulriken, overlooking Bergen.

Sheep were grazing nearby the tram station, and we could hear this lovely clinking of their bells.

First summit in Norway:  Mt. Ulriken.

Most of the hike was through granite bedrock, a little vegetation, and lakes scattered here and there.

Second summit: Mt. Rundemanen.
